Nikon FA is the SLR that introduced matrix metering to the world. Released in 1983, it pairs Nikon's first multi-segment meter with all four exposure modes, programme, aperture priority, shutter priority, and manual. Compact, fast, and capable of correctly exposing scenes that would defeat any earlier camera. A technical landmark, and a shooter's tool that still holds up against modern bodies.
