At filem.sg, we make the consignment process simple, transparent, and dependable. Each item is carefully inspected, documented, and presented to the right buyers - ensuring both confidence and care throughout every step. Do note that consignment approval is determined by filem’s assessment of demand, model, and condition.
Consignment Terms & Conditions
1. Consignment Period - The standard consignment period is 90 days from the date the camera is listed for sale - After 60 days, unsold items can be: i. Extended for another period (by mutual agreement), or ii. Collected by the owner
2. Inspection & Listing - filem.sg will perform a functional and cosmetic inspection of the camera and lens - Additional photos will be taken for marketing and listing purposes - filem.sg reserves the right to adjust the listed price based on market value and condition after inspection (with seller approval)
3. Pricing & Payout - The final selling price will be agreed upon by both parties before listing - filem.sg will deduct a commission of 15-30% (depending on value and demand) from the final selling price - Payment will be made to the owner within 7 business days after the item has been sold and the buyer’s payment has cleared
4. Ownership & Responsibility - The camera remains the property of the owner until sold - While under consignment, filem.sg will take reasonable care of the item but is not liable for wear, minor scratches, or unforeseen damage due to handling, unless caused by negligence - filem.sg is not responsible for loss due to theft, fire, or other uncontrollable events, though items will be stored securely
5. Withdrawal / Early Collection - If the owner wishes to withdraw the item before it is sold, a handling fee (e.g., $40-60) may apply to cover inspection and listing efforts - 3-5 working days’ notice is required for collection - The collection date and time will be arranged together based on both parties’ reasonable availability
6. Unsold Items - If the camera remains unsold after the agreed period, filem.sg will contact the owner to discuss options: i. Extend the consignment period, ii. Adjust pricing, or iii. Return the item with no handling fees imposed unless delivery is opted for
7. Agreement - Proceeding with the consignment indicates that the owner agrees to the terms above
