1. Are these cameras new?

Our cameras are mostly vintage or pre-loved pieces, unless stated otherwise.
Since many models have been discontinued for years, brand new units are extremely rare.

2. Are these cameras working?

Each camera undergoes comprehensive testing before it’s listed for sale. We inspect the lens, focus, shutter, and metering systems, and also test with dummy rolls to confirm everything functions properly. Only fully working units are made available on our site, and prices are quoted based on our camera condition rubrics, which you can review here. [LINK]

3. Is there a warranty for the cameras?

While we do not provide a warranty, every camera is professionally inspected, cleaned, and graded by our trusted international partners according to our camera condition rubrics.

Before shipment, filem records each camera’s working and cosmetic condition for transparency and verification.
As all items are documented prior to dispatch, no warranty applies after delivery, and filem will not be responsible for any disputes raised more than 10 days after arrival.
We encourage buyers to inspect and test their items promptly upon receipt.

You may also opt for an additional inspection by our local specialist, focused on mechanical and optical precision, at an additional cost.

Should any issues occur, they will be assessed and resolved on a case-by-case basis.

Head over to our pre-order page and let us know what you’re after. We’ll do our best to source it for you and get in touch once we’ve found a match.
We’ll also quote you accordingly before confirming your purchase with us.

5. Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship internationally!

Shipping fees and delivery times will vary depending on your location.
We’ll provide a shipping quote before confirming your order, and all parcels will be securely packed to protect your camera during transit.

If your country isn’t listed at checkout, reach out to us and we’ll see what we can do.

6. How long will shipping take?

For in-stock cameras, orders are usually shipped out within 3 days, and delivery typically takes 1–2 days to reach you, if your delivery address is within Singapore.

For stocks in our Japan warehouse, or pre-orders, timelines may vary depending on sourcing.
Cameras generally take around 2–3 weeks to be shipped out, followed by 1–2 days for delivery once they arrive at our storage facility.

We’ll keep you updated along the way and provide tracking details once your order is on its way to you.

We follow our Camera Condition Rubrics, which evaluate each item’s cosmetic, functional, and optical condition.

If there’s an issue with your camera, we’ll assess it on a case-by-case basis.
Each camera is carefully inspected and graded, but since these are vintage pieces, minor variations may occur.
Please reach out to us with details of the problem, and we’ll advise the best way forward - repair, replacement, or refund as appropriate.

9. Do you buy or trade film cameras?

Yes, we offer consignment services and may occasionally purchase cameras directly.

10. Do you sell film rolls or camera accessories?

We don’t list film rolls or accessories on our site unless they’re currently in stock.
If you’re looking for a specific item, feel free to reach out to us directly. We can help source it for you and quote accordingly before confirming your order.

11. Can I opt for express shipping?

Yes, we offer express shipping for customers who’d like to receive their orders sooner.
If your delivery timeline feels too long, simply contact us directly for more information or a personalised quote.

12. How do I take care of my film camera?

To keep your film camera in top condition, handle it with care and store it properly.

- Avoid humidity: keep your camera in a cool, dry place and use silica gel packs to prevent fungus
- Cap the lens when not in use, and clean gently with a soft microfiber cloth
- Use your camera regularly: mechanical parts stay smoother when exercised occasionally
- Remove batteries if storing for long periods to prevent corrosion
